Disaster Recovery

JTS has had a term contract with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) since 2015 to provide Public Assistance (PA) Program Support. While we have had this term contract, JTS has conducted Preliminary Damage Assessments Post-Hurricane Matthew and assisted with the grant close-out of prior federally declared disasters.  This VDEM term contract can be used by local governments and there are currently two Northern Virginia Municipal Agencies using this contract in order to re-coup COVID-19 expenses. Our staff have worked prior federally declared disasters including Hurricane Sandy, 2012 Derecho Storms, Hurricane Irene, and Tropical Storm Lee.
